I love how potent New York Biology Oils are! This tea tree oil is no different from the previous ones that I've reviewed. It's 100% pure and it provides endless benefits. This is pretty much the one oil to have in the house. I'm always seeing Tea Tree oil being recommended for acne, cuts, bug bites, athletes foot, dandruff.....it's literally everywhere. The only time I've ever used tea tee tree oil prior to this was in shampoos. It smells amazing and I'm happy I was able to receive this for testing.

Peppermint oil is the one oil that I had in my house prior to receiving one from New York Biology. I had read different ways to keep insects, particularly spiders, away and this was one of the natural ways. I did mix peppermint with lavender and sprayed it around my house. Not sure if it has worked of it's a coincidence,but I haven't seen a spider in my home this week.

Peppermint has a variety of other health benefits ranging from helping with nausea,cramps, IBS, headaches, allergic rashes and even helps repels mosquitoes. I know that the quality of the oils is really what distinguishes each oil from working properly. New York Biology oil is 100% pure and nautral. It smells potent and does the job.

 Oils have been around for so many years and for good reason! Sandalwood Oils have tons of benefits, I'll list a few below.

• Helps heal acne and acne scars
• It's an antiseptic, so it helps external wounds from causing any infections
• Boosts Immunity
• Has been used to aid in weight loss

It is not recommended to be used directly on the skin straight from the bottle as it may cause irritation. Always read about essential oils before using them and mix them with something else to avoid any issues. 

I planning on using this great Sandalwood oil to make a mask to help combat my persistent adult acne. 

The Indian variety of Sandalwood is known to be the purest and the best. New York Biology Sandalwood is exactly that! I'm glad I was able to test such a high quality oil.

  Essential Oils have been used for many years for medicinal purposes and in different religions. I have always read about their benefits but never really got into using them myself.

Lavender Oil has so many positive benefits! They can help with headaches, something I get quite often actually. They can help with relaxation, repelling spiders, muscle pains and the list goes on and on.

New York Biology Oils are 100% pure and natural! The company claims that the lavender used in their oil are from Kashmir region, which make this one of the finest and purest oils used in the world.

I have arachnophobia and have used this lavender oil to make a spray in order to repel spiders inside my home. I mixed a few drops of the oil in water and sprayed it on my air vent filter, around my doors and windows and will be spraying outside as well.

I'm also going to be trying to make some soaps, linen spray and things around the house to help alleviate stress and hopefully keep my house filled with more natural products.  I loved how pure this oil is and I'm looking forwards to using these oils in different ways.

Revive Voxbox

I was lucky enough to receive the Revive Voxbox this past week! So exciting!!

Included in this complimentary box were:

- Snackwell's cookie - I loved being able to dunk this in my morning coffee. It was perfectly thin enough and tasted very good. The vanilla left a slight flavor in my coffee as well so that was an awesome plus. I haven't seen these thin cookies anywhere, gotta check it out next time I go to the supermarket.

- Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner: absolutely loved this!! My hair felt so smooth and manageable afterwards and the humidity wasn't much of an issue. I also loved the smell, felt like I was on a nice tropical vacation.

- 100% compostable coffee pods: I got 3 samples. One was a kauai coffee pod that I loved. It was very smooth, tasted amazing and has definitely become a new favorite. The next one was Chock Full O Nuts, it was okay, I was already aware of this brand because my husband occasionally purchases it but it's not my favorite. It's a little too bitter for me and leaves a weird aftertaste once I'm done. Last but not least was the Hills Bros, I didn't really see anything special about these, I mean, it's good but nothing to make me run out and say it's my absolute favorite. It's smooth and tastes great, but there's nothing grand about it.

I also received a shaker bottled and 3 protein shakes from the vitamin shoppe. I'm not typically a protein shake person so I wasn't a huge fan of the flavors. I'm planning on mixing my last sample with some fresh fruit to see if my opinions change, but as of right now, not a fan.

 This is my first time using a basal thermometer so I'm not entirely sure how the whole charting thing works. I did find that it took a little longer than I expected to get my temperature read. I have a 3 yr old and his patience is not the best first thing in the morning. Again, since this is my first time using this, I don't know if it's comparable to other thermometers out there. It did give me an accurate temperature though and it beeped once it was done. 

I like that it had a big display and that the light is bright enough to be read in the dark but not super bright that it would wake up my husband if I decided to take it while he slept. The beeping noise isn't super loud either, so I would feel comfortable using it while everyone slept. 

The thermometer came in a little case with the chart and instructions. I think it's a bit bulky for travelling, but it's a good place to keep it in the house so it's all in together. I also like that the thermometer saves the temperatures for me so that I can go back and double check in case I make a mistake while charting. So far it's been working great! No issues on my end.

I don't typically use oil since I have oily skin and hate feeling any residue on my skin, but this wasn't that bad. It smelled pretty nice and since it's made from natural ingredients I feel a whole lot better about giving this a try. I ended up getting some all over the floor because it's a little more liquidy than I expected, so when you press down on the pump be careful so it doesn't get everywhere. 

After I rubbed it on my skin for the first time it did feel oily, but after reading into a bit more and realizing that I was supposed to use it on damp skin I decided to try again. It was a lot better and it absorbed a little more. I did feel a little tingle after a few minutes of applying the oil but it made me more confident that it was working. 

I love that it's paraben, cruelty and sulfate free and that it only includes natural oils.

     I loved how simple and easy this has made my daily routine. I keep the lotion in the shower so as soon as I'm done I can easily apply it. I thought it was a little weird applying lotion to wet skin at first. I mean, years after years of putting it on after drying off and then all of the sudden putting it on wet skin is a little odd. I applied it for the first time, dried off and was pretty surprised at the results. My skin felt silky smooth and had a very nice glow to it. 

The only negative thing that I have to say is that the coconut scent can be a little overpowering if you plan on putting perfume or something else afterwards. I've been using it at night and using regular lotion in the morning, so the scent hasn't been a huge issue for me.

                Since the new year, I've started using adult coloring books as a way to relax and keep         myself busy without being in front of the TV or computer. I've only been using colored pencils up until recently, but found it hard to reach those small little circles or to make it look vibrant enough without tiring myself by pressing down on the colored pencils. 

  

           These markers have really helped me out in that department. I am able to get brighter, neater coloring done by mixing these with colored pencils. I'm also able to reach those small drawings without coloring over and without messing up the drawing. These markers are double sided. One side is thicker,which makes it easier to fill in larger areas and the other side is a finer tip. I am able to use both sides and get gorgeous colors without much effort. There are 100 colors in this pack so I can truly use my imagination and make my relaxing moments a bit more fun.

                 I had no idea these straws even existed! I think they look so fancy and it makes my drink           taste so smooth, I'm in love. 

                                        

                               

       The set comes in a little black box with 6 100% glass straws and a cleaning brush. I think these would be great house warming gifts or part of a holiday gift. My husband didn't know I had these, so when he saw me drinking the lemonade he immediately wanted to try it out himself. He loved it, of course, my husband always loves these new ideas and then showing it off to our friends. 

I think it's a great addition to parties or any event that you host in your own home. Icosa Living states that these are non-toxic and BPA free and since they're eco-friendly, I feel I whole lot better about buying these straws instead of the plastic, disposable ones.

Super cute and sturdy organizer for a work desk or even a child's desk. This was stronger than I thought and very simple to put together. 

Even though the instructions came in a different language, the pieces are labeled appropriately and the pictures are self explanatory. It took me maybe 5 mins to put it together. I was a little skeptical about how it would stay together but it does include rubber bands that you attach to the connecting pieces so it stays together very nicely.  

My son loves anything to with cars, so when he saw this bus on his table he was ecstatic!! My husband, a teacher, has already said he would love on for his work table. Very cute gift!! Maybe even a stocking stuffer.

                    These quick dry towels will be coming with me on my upcoming vacation! They're very convenient as they fold up perfectly to fit inside any bag. There are 2 towels in the bag that it comes in. One big one that is as bigger than your regular bath towel....I would say as big as a beach towel. The smaller one is perfect for workouts and fits nicely around your neck. 

               

I threw these in the wash and let it air dry for about an hour or two and they were ready to be used. 

See how small and compact they are?! We are going to an amusement park in PA next weekend and I will definitely be taking this in my bag. There's a small water section and these quick dry towels will come in handy drying my 3 year old up a bit before moving on to other rides. I tried it and it absorbed very quickly and remained pretty dry afterwards. They don't have that wet,heavy feel that you get with regular towels. 

These are also surprisingly soft. For quick dry towels I was expecting it to be a little rough on the skin and/or be too thick, but nope, super soft.

I've tried an "As seen on TV" expandable hose in the past with no luck. It wold work great for a few days but would break due to the thin material it was made from and the plastic attachments.  I was happily surprised once I turned the water on and saw this expand. It's made from a much thicker material that will surely last me a lot longer than any of the others that I've tried. This particular one expands to 75 feet, which is great for my house.

The nozzle has many different settings and worked great! The water pressure was strong the entire time, no knots to fight with and it was very easy to assemble. My mom was shocked once she saw it and was interested in buying one herself. As soon as you're done with it,it shrinks back to the original size so it's easy to store. I will update this in a few months to see how well it has lasted.

 I always have a hard time getting my veggies the same thickness when cutting them on my own. I have been wanting to try to make a meatless lasagna for the longest time and since I don't have the patience of cutting the zucchini on my own I never tried. Now I can!

This peeler came with 4 blades and a cleaning brush.  It's pretty sturdy so I know it won't break easily while I use it and when I'm done I can just use the brush quickly and toss it in the dishwasher. 

I tried the peeler on a few veggies and found the cucumber the easiest to handle. I think I should have cut the eggplant a bit more, but it worked pretty nicely regardless.

I did have a little trouble changing the blade, though. I wasn't sure which way it was supposed to go and kept on putting them upside down. I also felt that it flipped a lot while I tried to use it but it could be because I didn't place it in properly. Maybe in the future they could add some sort of mark for us to know which way the blade goes in so that it fits properly. 

Overall, I did enjoy using trying this peeler and look forward to making some delicious dishes that I previously could not make.
